World Notes
(Every bold header is at the top of its own page, and he keeps the backs of pages clear to allow for more notes. This list exists as a physical nondescript black notebook in Kidou's desk drawer. Any notes that go over one page will have additional sheets paperclipped to the page in question. While he makes a point to carefully copy down notes given to him, he preserves the original notes handed to him inside the notebook as well.)
America and Russia War

Russia kidnapped many ImPorts and held them hostage on a submarine. ImPorts rescued them.
Russia has invaded America and taken control over ImPort cities. Torture and brainwashing occurred.
America waited days before repelling the invading force.
America bombed Debrecen in retaliation, a city in Hungary. Hungary was found to be providing assistance to Russia. see perestroika seminar
- The USSR declared war on the United States on January 20, 2016
- The same day, about 50 imPorts were kidnapped from their homes and held captive by the Soviets
- They used a porter they created that named Lackey. It's held by the government right now
- The imPorts were rescued from a submarine in the Antarctic on January 29, 2016
Soviet occupation (Perestroika Seminar)
- We received the announcement for the USSR's coup on February 15, 2016, in the evening
- February 16-20, 2016, we had to attend the Perestroika Seminar.
- The USSR controlled the Nanites in our bodies through Lackey? When we didn't go, they warned us through them with things like electric shocks.
- The seminar consisted of long videos, physical tests and training, books, and other cognitive tests.
- US troops drove out the USSR on February 29, 2016
America - 80s Reform?
I can find nothing on this except rumors it exists. I've been told this information is purposefully hidden.
Porter
The American government used to control it, but a being (AI or goddess depends on who you ask) took control of it. America no longer has any say over how it is used or who is brought here.
It ensures every visitor to this world has a power when they are transferred here.
People who have died can be brought back to life by being brought to this world.
Some come through the Porter with memories not only of their original world, but the one Lachesis came from.
Those who go to back to their home universes don't remember this universe. If they return they'll remember, but only if it's the same iteration.
- New imPorts usually arrive between the first and tenth of every month. Not everyone posts immediately, but that's the observable pattern.
- The Porter will sometimes pull people out temporarily before dumping them back in.
- when this happens, most people come back after "moving forward in time" (they have new memories from their world they didn't have before)
- sometimes, imPorts come back with new or different powers
- imPorts don't remember their lives here while they're home
- shortest reported period of temporary Port-out is about 24 hours. It can be a week or ten days long, though.
- It's unusual, but it's possible to arrive with another person instead of just around the same time
- It can suppress or take powers away as well as grant them.
- People who're aware of their deaths in their home worlds do get ported in, but there's no way to tell whether it was before or after their heart stopped beating.
Different instances of someone can exist - if a person is ported out, and back in, it might be from a different point in time, or they may not have any memory of having been here before.
Someone from the same place as you can be ported in from a different time than you.
Lachesis
The first AI that controlled the Porter is called Lachesis, and came from a world before this one. She pulled people to that world just as she pulls people to this one.
Lachesis used to talk to people, but she is silent here.
Some people here remember this other world. This hints there's a connection between the worlds, meaning Lachesis' silence isn't necessarily her absence.
It's confirmed that Lachesis isn't there now, and another AI is.
Motives of both unknown.
Powers
Every ImPort has at least one power.
Powers can be anything.
Some native people now have powers, I belive it was due to a smartphone app. These seem more restricted. Noted non-ImPort powers: Fire breathing, speed
Not being human counts as a power.
Not being human can even be considered three powers.
The Porter can take away powers, too.
Powers from home can be downgraded when brought here.
Tattoo
Nanites might create your tattoo.
Your tattoo might be a tracking device.
Nanites
Small machines inside of every ImPort's body.
There are noted side effects the nanites cause. Unclear what.
Something called nanite dependency exists, caused by overuse.
An instance of nanite use has been described as bringing the dead back to life.
A proposed explanation is bringing someone back from a near-death state. ImPorts can die, but can't stay dead.
Nanites can alter your physiology.
Nanites can be hacked or changed by external technology. One instance of resulted in altering the physical age of ImPorts.
Cold War
My sources are all heavily biased. I want to take both sides into account, but I can't find anything from Russia's point of view. I'll try to be as neutral as I can, but some of this could be inaccurate.
During World War 2, the Soviet Union and America were allied. USSR and America have very different philosophies and could not overcome these differences. For instance, USSR is communist and America is capitalist.
The Cold War was a period of intense distrust and paranoia primarily between USSR and America.
Cold War means war without any fighting involved. Open hostility, no real bloodshed.
President [Harry Truman analogue] created the [Truman or similar name] Doctrine in 1947. It pledges to protect Greece and Turkey from Soviet expansion.
1948 had the Treaty of Brussels, which was a mutual defense pact between France, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
NATO (North American Treaty Organization) was founded in 1949. That's a military alliance that America founded that expanded on that treaty.
NATO Founding countries: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States. (Greece, Turkey, West Germany and Spain joined in the 50s)
There is an opposing treaty to NATO called the Warsaw Pact.
Warsaw Pact Countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia (CSSR), East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, USSR.
This situation escalated, leading to the 2016 war declaration.
Additional ImPort Notes

Government funded and backed ImPort organization.

This came to my attention during a blackout. I've been looking for additional strange messages left without any origin.
- In an incident referring to robot sharks and an exploded train, 2014-05-12
"We did it better" written on a Nonah sidewalk. "Maiden" is crossed out.
- January 14, 2017 all Porter cities had their power cut. No running water.
The communicators are jammed with this message:
”We did warn you. All of you have so much power. That comes at a cost. If you can't see in the darkness, then look to the stars.”

Mass prison breakout on all four cities. The escapees are all very violent. Received a warning that they are targeting ImPorts. Hospitals are at critical capacity and understaffed.
January 21, power restored.
Government official confirms that blackout is due to outside interference. If they know more they won't say. Some criminals apprehended. More at large.
Followup Summary: An anonymous text about an investigation into the prison. Electronics went out in the prison, believed to be technologically caused. Some guards were evil, appears to be an inside job, those responsible vanished before the riot. Some remaining guards remember hearing guards speaking in German before they left.
Prisoners had weapons hidden inside the prison. Seems likely they were given additional things. The prisoners were in a strange mental state, possibly unnaturally induced when behind bars. Angry at ImPorts and the law.
One broken Russian nullifier device found on the scene, confiscated by government. Surveillance tapes are also confiscated by the government.

- It doesn't just give powers! It can suppress or take them away. Two of my teammates had their Persona suppressed when they arrived.

The information was given with a comment that if Kidou REALLY wants to know more, Ken could locate some people who took roles of leadership during some of these events but requests that he does go through him first. The situation is not as intense and tense as it was last winter, but it's not a good idea to act alone.
