Teammate

Genda Koujirou My friend and teammate from Teikoku. During what I assume will be my future, he is part of a team called Neo Japan assembled by Coach Hitomiko and captained by Saginuma, from Epsilon. (I am certain that would be Desarm; who else of Epsilon would serve as captain? That hissatsu Genda picked up must confirm that.) This caused a misunderstanding between us at first, but I hope it may have been smoothed out by now. Endou left behind a tire affixed to a tree in Heropa's closest park from the housing block. I've entrusted it to Genda. Genda tried to move to Maurtia Falls without my knowledge. It was only due to a series of mistakes on my part I discovered this before it was too late. As a result of that confrontation, we've both moved to an unoccupied house in Heropa. As much guilt as I feel having left my roommates and anyone else who potentially moves into Maurtia Falls 3, I can't deny I'm relieved to not live in that city anymore. I've also requested Genda's assistance with my own project. He's interpreted my request for looking for patterns as 'go through everything ever said on the network', and has been keeping meticulous notes pertaining to anything of interest. I can't imagine how much time he's spent on this. With him acting as an archivist, and me being the face of this operation, I feel we'll both soon know everything we possibly can. I owe him more than I could ever repay.

NOTES: Powers: Hissatsu: Power Shield. Full Power Shield. Beast Fang, I'm assuming Drill Smasher. Apparently. Shadow Step: Can blend into the background and become unnoticed. Soccer Position: Goalkeeper. For reasons I can't forgive myself for, I've forced him to temporarily try being a forward. He could hardly find a gentler place to try the position.

Teammate

Sakuma Jirou Was my second in command in Teikoku, and is my best friend from home - possibly one of several, but forever the first. Given the uniform he arrived in, he's likely from the same point in time as I am. When he arrived, he lived with an alien 'gem' named Lapis Lazuli who nearly attacked him over a misunderstanding. Since then he's been living with Genda and me. There's no such thing as safety here, but I refuse to allow him to remain in a place that's more dangerous than it has to be.

Friend

Death the Kid Demands symmetry. Though he has his quirks, he seems to be an overall reasonable enough person. We lived together for six months and get along well, though I've learned to be mindful about what I bring home or how I place things so I don't cause him distress. Even now, I've caught myself evaluating items for their balance. I'm going to miss living with him. Isn't good with children. Has no problem with research sessions. Sometimes makes massive quantities of breakfast type food and hands it out to anyone in the house. Has talked about something called a meister before, as well as people named Tsubaki and Black Star from his world, so I should keep an eye out for these. Am I spelling that second one right? I'm not sure. Lately, I've started to wonder about some things, and I can't help but think he might be a good candidate to use Death Zone with. His incredible focus on everything lining up could lend well to it. I doubt I'll mention this, but it's a thought.

Possible Ally

Jacob Taylor Agent of RISE, an organization that deals with emergency situations, rogue ImPorts, intel from the looks of things and apparently the American military. He's been a large help to me when I needed it, and specifically asked for my opinion during a dangerous situation. I really want to like him, but I'm unsure if I should. I want to get to know him better. Is it possible to seem too good? I've started sending him my thoughts as Playmaker to get a better read on the situation. He's taken me seriously before, but I have a feeling I'll want this distinction.

Hyunsoo Chang A chance encounter in the streets of Maurtia Falls. He caught me spying on him and demanded to know why. I eventually explained I wanted to determine if he was an ImPort and if so, his powers, and he told me what I wanted to know. Easier than expected.

NOTES: Powers: Fear Inducement: Says he's never used it.

Neutral

Max Caulfield Investigative photojournalist interested in researching this place. I believe she's lived through the kidnapping on a submarine incident, and the invasion/brainwashing one. As we share this determination to find out more, I've offered that we compare notes about future things that we find. Having an investigation open sounds like a good idea.

Unsure

Riku Despite his appearance standing out, I hadn't noticed him at all despite his having noticed me. He later appeared in a dream... I remember something about a cave and a door. He told me later that I drew him a penguin and asked its significance. I gave him the first half of the answer, but I'm not sure how I feel about this. It doesn't fill me with confidence that I can't know what he really knows about me. He's said he has no business with me. Whether or not his word is accurate, I can't say. That isn't the only thing strange. He's friends with Mickey Mouse, and he was hired to kidnap characters from movies. I would not have believed this had strange events in this world not shown me these people directly. 'Any universe' is a broader category than I'd imagined, if it can include characters I thought were fictional. He's saved my life twice now. I'm willing to trust he doesn't have bad intentions.

NOTES: Powers: Dream Eater: I'm not really sure about the specifics, but capable of entering and tampering with people's dreams. In his words, he's 'something that's supposed to fight nightmares'. Bat wings?: Not being human can be a power. Those wings move. They're likely related to a power in some way. He also has a bat wing that he uses as a weapon - are these related? Portals: I've heard he can create portals.

Unsure

Fueguchi Hinami (cw for distressing content) Ken Amada's close friend. Belongs to a species called a ghoul that's a specialized obligate predator to humans. Claims she has no intention of causing others harm. Has expressed interest in soccer. Appears friendly and honest. I've admitted that I might have to take time to get used to her, but I won't cause her problems. Amada can accept her, but I don't know if I can. I can't accept that inability, so I will continue to try. I've known her for months. She goes to my school. She's done nothing to anyone, I'm sure of it. Despite all my misgivings, I'll look out for her. Update: She can now eat human food, so my new goal is to encourage her towards this alternate food source as much as I can. She's told me about her background. I feel that I understand her better now. Ghouls... humans... there's a lot to take in about this.

NOTES: Powers: Stronger and faster than normal humans. Can identify by smell, seems to have excellent hearing. Has a specialized organ called a kagune she likened to a weapon that they can change and move around. Eats humans. Claims her food source is the government, and sticks to bodies donated for scientific purposes. Has the ability to not eat humans.

Unsure

Kaneki Ken (cw for distressing content) Older brother to Fueguchi, and also a ghoul. Like Amada, he's asked me to look out for Fueguchi. I can't possibly refuse a request by an older brother. I want to like this person. I could even look up to this person. He's friendly, hard-working, proactive, seeks to protect the rights of ImPorts and is willing to approach the American government to see this happen. He's done investigative work overseas to follow some leads and warned us about what they found (I shared my thoughts on this, but only as Playmaker). He saved me from dire circumstances at one point. I've watched him knock out two people without causing them harm. As much as I want to, I can't shake the feeling of danger when I talk to him. The imagery that comes to mind is a deer trying to befriend a tiger. His diet is human beings. I can't forget that. He's told me a little about himself, and I understand him better. He used to be human. He was made into what he now is, though he's confirmed that 'ghoul' is a species and he's a rare case. He's told me to never be sorry for being worried about his nature. Even so, I feel guilty about it.

NOTES: Powers: A ghoul like Fueguchi. I'll make the assumption they have the same set of powers for now, but I don't think Kaneki has Fueguchi's ability to eat human food.

Wary

Axel Walker Answered a question about powers and definitions. Identifies himself as a villain, said his power to find toys in his pocket defined him pretty well.

NOTES: Powers: Produces candy when punched. Has 'cheap crappy toys' in his pockets. Can float.

Wary

Lapis Lazuli I know her by Sakuma's report. A small, blue alien 'gem' who nearly attacked Sakuma over a misunderstanding. She grew her arm to reach the thermostat, then was curious whether or not Sakuma was cold. Sakuma evaded her and she used some ability involving water to ready an attack. Sakuma didn't believe this deliberate, but someone whose response to being surprised is to threaten harm isn't someone safe to be near. It's true I'm suspicious of her because of 'space' and 'rock' associations. I have no idea what 'grew her arm' means. If she's truly not from Earth, I couldn't begin to guess. After having met her, she's not what I expected. It's impossible to have a conversation with her, but she doesn't appear to be a bad person. I watched her use her powers to play with penguins, and all that time she was gentle with them. When I asked her about the gem on her back, she said that's what she is. No amount of playing dumb or attempting to coax her to talking about herself worked. Is it that she's a rude person, or just too alien to understand?

NOTES: Powers: Arm Growth?: ???? Water Control: Capable of drawing water out of pipes in another room and breaking a door with that water. Can create ice and make water appear like fish.
